Scholarship application

Applications should be postmarked by April 1 of senior year

Massena Telephone will annually award up to three $500 scholarships, each to a high school senior who lives in a household that subscribes to MTC service, and plans to attend a college, university, trade school, or certificate program in the fall.  This is a one-time scholarship, and it will be paid upon completion of the first term of the applicant’s program.

Please download, complete, print, and mail this application along with the following required documents:

An essay explaining your plan of study, how you plan to use your training after graduation, how you came to choose that path, and why you are excited to train and work in the field.

Two letters of recommendation, one professional and one personal

Your completed application, essay, and two letters of recommendation should be mailed to:

Selection Criteria (in no particular order):

  • Applicant’s passion about their chosen path of training, based on applicant’s essay.
  • Grammar, spelling, and format of essay
  • Applicant’s Community Service
  • Applicant’s Grade Point average
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Priority may be given to students going into STEM, Data, and Telecom fields.
  • This scholarship is not based on financial need.
